Elton Mugomo

Elton Mugomo was born and raised in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

1996 - Elton enroled at Mzilikazi Art &Craft Centre in Bulawayo where he,  specialized in Fine Art - wood and stone carving, ceramics, pottery and sign writing.


1997-98 - He attend a lot of workshops and exhibitions with artists like Yvonne Vera,  Tommy Ndebele, Joe Walderman (Belgium).


1998 – Finished at Mzilikazi Art & Craft Centre and started his career as a independent artists specializing in painting and graphic printmaking.


1999-2003 Moved to work in Botswana and held small exhibitions in Palapye and painted a lot of murals in hotels and lodges.


2003 – Back in Zimbabwe he met Immanuel Mukwiro who inspired Elton to printmaking.


2003-2004 – Moved to Namibia where he found Imke Engelhard Studio where he could print his card board prints.


2004-2011 – Elton has been printing and selling in galleriessand craft shops all over Namibia and South Africa.


2011 – He held his first solo exhibition of prints at Namibian Jewellers & Arts in Swakopmund.


2012 – Second  solo exhibition of water colours and prints at Art Stop Gallery in Swkopmund.


2013 – Third exhibition – duo exhibition -  called:  Township in Acrylic – with Zin Maisiri at the Art Stop Gallery.


2015 – Fourth exhiibition – Easter Group Exhbition at the COSDEF Arts & Crafts Centre in Swkopmund with painters Ras Gaths, Dialo Dube and Zin Maisiri.


- Group Exhibition at the Fine Art Gallery in Swakopmund.


Elton works on acrylic paintings and  paints wildlife scetches in ink and continues his beautifully coloured card board prints expressing his view of life in the world.
